Several organizations, including IBI, are modeling employers’ response to health-related absence. IBI examined how three employers with absence data actually respond. Some behave as one might expect given the business exigencies they face. Others choose more expensive responses, probably because of corporate culture, lack of operational flexibility or lack of data.
